Physical access control
A key factor in improving the security of working environments and providing greater protection for restricted areas is reliable personal identification. And the best guarantees of this are offered by biometric technology. The growing need to protect highly restricted areas, such as military bases, banks, industrial sites and ministries, has accelerated the design and implementation of biometric access control systems based on facial, fingerprint and iris recognition. There are many solutions and devices now available on the market, but not all offer a sufficiently high level of security.
Clearly, however, the use of hardware and recognition algorithms developed for criminal investigation purposes guarantees superior performance. In fact, the BIOclock and BIOlock access control systems developed by Italdata are based on experience gained working with Italian and international law enforcement and security agencies.
